A by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 17% of Americans say they’re taking a “wait and see” approach to getting vaccinated, meaning they want to hold off until they see how it’s working for other people.
Most of the hesitation comes from safety concerns, despite continuous reassurance from the CDC and medical experts around the world that the vaccines are safe, effective, and meet all the requirements of the FDA for emergency use authorization.
“The best way to prepare ourselves for what is to come during this pandemic is to make sure you get vaccinated,” said , Beaumont’s director of Infection Prevention and Epidemiology. “With an increase of COVID-19 cases and positivity rates, as well as the emergence of the Delta variant, there's never been a better time to do your part in this fight."
